The Sporting News has some last-minute injury news from the NFC:

* KGME-AM out of Phoenix is reporting that Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Anquan Boldin is suffering from a high ankle sprain, which makes it uncertain whether he will play Sunday night against the New York Giants; Boldin initially was told by team trainers that he would miss 3-4 weeks, but he was able to practice on Friday.

* Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Kevin Curtis underwent arthroscopic surgery on his knee Saturday; according to head coach Andy Reid, it wasn’t “anything major.” Reid hopes that Curtis will be able to return to action some time this season.

* Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Raheem Morris is uncertain if return man Clifton Smith will be able to play on Sunday against the New England Patriots, one week after suffering a concussion against Carolina last week. Smith claims he is ready to go, but Morris begs to differ.

Speaking of Carolina, Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis didn’t practice on Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against Buffalo. If Davis’ hamstring doesn’t recover in time, look for Landon Johnson to get the call.
